Curriculum Vitae
Sophie Melzer completed her Master’s degree in Psychology (specialization in Work, Economy, and Society) at the University of Vienna in November 2021. At that time, she was working as a management consultant with a focus on New Work at PwC Austria, before moving in 2023 to the University of Applied Sciences BFI Vienna, where she took on the role of Head of Department and Lecturer. Since 2025, she has been employed as a PraeDoc in the FWF stand-alone project 'The Hidden Costs of Flexible Work: Low Situational Strength as a Characteristic of Modern Knowledge Work and Its Contradictory Effects on Intrinsic Motivation.'
